CHIROPRACTIC

Many seek chiropractic care when they have a backache, sharp and shooting pains, headaches, or have been injured in an accident. Chiropractic treatment is largely focused on joint health and keeping the nervous system in check.

Chiropractic achieves your optimal health goals by helping free up your nervous system to work the way it should. Specific spinal adjustments are made to joints which are out of place (subluxations.) This allows for optimal joint range of motion, decreased inflammation in the surrounding tissues, and decreased pressure on the nerves. Adjustments even cause chemicals called endorphins to be released into the bloodstream. These neurotransmitters produce feelings of euphoria and decreased pain.

Our gentle approach allows the body to heal itself naturally, offering an alternative to invasive surgery and medications. Adjustments are for people of all ages because joints are meant to move no matter what stage of life you are in. Different adjusting techniques are used depending on the patient's age and health history.

Synergy Chiropractic offers an alternative form of an adjustment using a specialized adjusting tool called the Arthrostim. Instrument adjusting is a very popular form of chiropractic manipulation. This tool produces a speedy thrust and recoil motion, similar to the way a chiropractor uses their hands to adjust the spine. This is a great treatment option for infants, elderly patients, and for those who are sensitive to manual adjustments.

Muscle Therapies

Synergy offers a variety of muscle therapies including electric stimulation, ultrasound, kinesiotape, cupping, dry needling, and active release technique. All muscle therapies are aimed at releasing muscle hypertonicity and adhesions, breaking up scar tissue and creating new blood flow to the affected regions to promote healing. A tight muscle is a painful and dysfunctional muscle. We believe it is important to address dysfunctional muscle memory and dysfunctional muscle patterns.
